Philip Sherburne

Philip Sherburne is an American critic and journalist based on the Mediterranean island of Menorca, Spain. He has been a contributing editor of Pitchfork since 2014; prior to that, he had written extensively for a number of other publications, including The Wire, Resident Advisor, and SPIN. In 2021, he and Albert Salinas, his co-broadcaster on Spain's Lapsus Radio, launched Balmat, a record label dedicated to ambient and ambient-adjacent music.
