Ben Frost has had a close relationship with Unsound over the years. He first played solo at the festival in 2008, then with label mates from Bedroom Community the following year. Together with Daniel Bjarnasson, he was subsequently commissioned by Unsound to create music inspired by the Tarkovsky film “Solaris”, as well as Lem’s original novel, with a visual element created by Brian Eno. This project went on to tour the world, presented by Unsound. His 2012 performance at Kraków featured two drummers, the initial live point of music developed further into his critically acclaimed new album “A U R O R A”. For this year’s return, he will present this finished material in new form, stripped down to a solo show in a club context with light design by Marcel Weber.
