Unsound has been developing Ephemera – a multisensory project linking sound and scent – since 2014, with synaesthethic installations, as well as with the launch of a perfume series. At Unsound Toronto this year, the project was taken to the next level, with a live version of Ephemera presented by Tim Hecker (sound), MFO (light design) and Geza Schoen (olfactory component). The result was acclaimed by critics, with Exclaim! calling it “truly, unequivocally original, a sensory performance on a whole new level”. Note that due to limited numbers this 40-minute show requires an additional ticket on top of Unsound passes. Ephemera is curated by Małgorzata Płysa and Mat Schulz.
