Kode 9 is one of the most important figures in bass music - the founder of the pioneering Hyperdub label, as well as an experienced DJ and the producer behind classic dubstep tunes such as "9 Samurai". Through his sets and curatorial work on the label he has popularised many subgenres of bass-heavy dance music, most recently partnering with juke/footwork collective Teklife, and adding South African gqom to his repertoire. He was a surprise artist at Unsound, presenting a DJ set.
