Journalism is an important part of any music scene, and these days it's relatively easy to get involved. You don't need formal training or loads of contacts; the skills can be self-taught, the editors and artists easily reached. But that's not to say it's simple. To be a journalist, you need to be resourceful, patient and tenacious, and an expert in at least two subjects: music, and the craft of writing. In this workshop, RA editor Will Lynch will share his insights and experiences as a music journalist, and offer perspective on how to get started, hone your skills and get published.
