King Midas Sound’s debut album was “Waiting For You”, released on Hyperdub in 2009. It explored the haunted qualities of dub music with a dense, bass heavy sound produced by Kevin Martin (aka The Bug), forming a basis for Kiki Hitomi’s and Roger Robinson buried vocal duets. With “Waiting For You” already considered a classic, the band recently announced that they had signed to Ninja Tune. Robinson called their new sound “My Bloody Valentine in dub” - as captured on their 2013 EP “Aroo”.
