To record her new record “Nepenthe”, Julianna Barwick left her comfort zone and travelled to Iceland to seek inspiration and work with other musicians, including Sigur Rós and Jónsi producer Alex Sommers and a choir of teenage girls. The result has garnered much critical acclaim around the world. At Unsound her otherworldly vocal loops will also be backed a by the Chamber Choir of Ogólnokształcąca Szkoła Muzyczna I Stopnia im I.Paderewskiego w Krakowie, this time from Poland. Fittingly, the concert will be presented in the 16th Century St Katherine’s Church, one of Unsound’s flagship venues, known for its massive reverb and stunning interior.
