Andy Stott and Demdike Stare are two of the most acclaimed electronic artists of recent times, each hailing from Manchester and releasing on that city’s Modern Love label. Both also inhabit the outer fringes of the dance floor, Demdike Stare coming from a much darker angle, though Andy’s music also contains an undercurrent of menace. They collaborate live for the first time ever at Unsound; called “Eutectic”, this project has been conceived with the “Interference” theme in mind, and will be performed purely on hardware.
With "Eutectic"/"Interference" in mind, Pedro Maia will prepare a visual work collaboration that emerges from an obsolete analogue video system based purely on video hardware and video feedback and then manipulated live in rection to the sound.
