According to his biography, Mike Cooper turned down an offer to join the Rolling Stones in the 1960s, instead taking a path that led to folk and blues records, painting, travelling and collecting Hawaiian shirts. Cooper is still releasing music, channeling the sounds of the Pacific on his lap steel guitar and incorporating field recordings to create a unique abstract ambient exotica.
