Very rarely playing live, Richard Skelton’s immersive music is deeply connected with places of emotional resonance, especially landscape. His multi instrumental ambient compositions are rich with detail and very cinematic, painting an astonishingly vivid picture. Skelton is also known to include twigs or alder catkins in packagings of his albums, to further associate with a certain time and place. He has released many albums under various aliases, with The Inward Circles and its sound of orchestral drone being the latest.
