Black Zone Myth Chant is the latest project from Maxime Primault, a French artist also known for his psychedelic drone alias High Wolf. Associated with Low Jack’s Editions Gravats label, the project pursues an unusual combination of Afro-centric trance music, drone and screwed sounds. His molasses-thick combination of skittering drums and slowly aligning sparkly textures channel fourth world inspirations, while calling out to the mystic and otherwordly.
