“Saturdays are for dancing” is the motto guiding the program for the final night at Hotel Forum. Room 1 opens with a slow-building set from longtime Unsound friend Philip Sherburne, leading towards Lutto Lento’s dancehall deconstruction and NAKED’s fractured, abrasive songs. Holly Herndon will present her new show featuring a six-piece choir, while Jlin fuses club and ritual music in a dazzling blend of sophisticated rhythms. Following are sets from house music legend DJ Sprinkles and eclectic upcomer Avalon Emerson. Room 2 opens with Ter’s modular ambient, and then Wolf Müller’s live show featuring Niklas Wandt on percussion. Otim Alpha and Leo Palayeng will perform their first-ever European show, a fast-paced and polyrhythmic interpretation of Ugandan wedding songs. Salon Des Amateurs’ cosmic dance experts Lena Willikens and Vladimir Ivkovic will follow with a special b2b set. The night takes a sharp left turn with Nkisi’s fusion of hardcore techno and Congolese rhythms, then late night energetic non-techno-normative sets from Juliana Huxtable and DJ Haram. Room 3 pays homage to house music with three fantastic DJs: Eltron John, PLO Man and Intergalactic Gary. Rounding out the lineup is a live set from Octo Octa in the wake of her recent album, Where Are We Going?
