Australian Tom Ellard is best known as the key member of the seminal electronic group Severed Heads, a band formed in Sydney in the late ‘70s. Though they flirted with pop and mainstream success, Severed Heads’ sound remained defiantly experimental and unique. Ellard talks about the band’s colourful history, as well as his work with computer games including Treasure Island II, launched during Unsound. In conversation with John Doran from The Quietus.
