Matmos are an experimental electronic duo known for their bewildering creativity. Sourcing sounds from unexpected places (most recently a washing machine for their album “Ultimate Care II”) they are modern masters of musique concrète. For their first Unsound appearance, Matmos perform part of Robert Ashley’s “Perfect Lives” – a TV opera set in the American Midwest “about” bank robbery, cocktail lounges, geriatric love, adolescent elopement and more. They perform with an ensemble, including string musicians from Sinfonietta Cracovia. This event is two hours long, including an intermission, and includes surtitles in Polish.
