Australian industrial legends Severed Heads started out as an experimental outfit in 1979, creating music constructed out of tape loops and synths. As their career progressed they moved towards dance music, going on to create an adventurous synth pop sound. With break out hits such as “Dead Eyes Open”, Severed Heads flirted with mainstream success, but over the years became a cult band. After officially disbanding in 2008, founder Tom Ellard reformed Severed Heads in 2010 with Stewart Lawler. Appearing rarely, they now play their first European show in years at Unsound. This follows on from a number of re-releases and the recording of new music.
