American pianist R. Andrew Lee is one of the world’s foremost interpreters of minimal music, known for his repertoire (from Glass to Frey) and recordings of Eva-Maria Houben, Paul A. Epstein and most importantly of Dennis Johnson’s “November”. Over five hours in length, this glacially paced, meditative work inspired La Monte Young’s “The Well-tuned Piano” and prefigured minimalism. He will perform “November” at a special concert, where the audience is free to come and go, or stay for the duration.
