Matmos are an experimental electronic duo known for their bewildering creativity. Sourcing sounds from the strangest and most unexpected places (most recently a washing machine for their “Ultimate Care II” album), they have become modern masters of musique concrete. Finally appearing for the first time at Unsound, Matmos will perform Robert Ashley’s “Perfect Lives” TV opera, a story “about” bank robbery, cocktail lounges, geriatric love, adolescent elopement, et al. They perform with an ensemble, including musicians from Sinfonietta Cracovia.
