Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is a composer whose preferred instrument is the Buchla Music Easel synth. Described by her as the synthesizer with the most human sound, it allows her to achieve an immersive, organic sound, that together with woodwind instruments and her vocals strives to imitate the sound of wildlife. The development of her sound can be traced through a series of albums released by Western Vinyl, including this year’s “EARS”.
