Sam Kidel’s “Disruptive Muzak” is one of the most original ambient albums of recent times, a playful subversion of muzak – otherwise known as “hold” music. For Unsound, Kidel presents a new version of the “Disruptive Muzak” project in the form of an installation. Visitors will be able to hear live calls made by an automated call centre, to offices of the HMRC (the UK's tax collection and enforcement agency). The call centre will be operational from 10am to 6pm until the end of the festival.
During festival week, the installation is free to pass-holders and costs 5 PLN for anyone else. Opening is free to everyone.
