Daniel Martin-McCormick is one half of the Thrill Jockey duo Mi Ami, and also the man behind the solo project Sex Worker, releasing on Not Not Fun. Further back, he was a member of the band Black Eyes, a post-hardcore band known for their frenzied live shows. (In fact, Daniel appeared at the first ever Unsound Krakow event with this band in 2003.)
Daniel also happens to be Ital, a producer releasing some of this year's most original house music, on the Not Not Fun offshoot "dance" label 100% Silk.
As Fact Magazine wrote in an artist profile: "Ital is at the forefront of something more interesting than just great tracks... along with D’eon, Laurel Halo and the 100% Silk label in general, he represents a generation of Americans taking outsider aesthetics and unpredictable song structures, and applying these to classic house and techno... an irresistible antidote to the precision-tooled Beatport house that modern dance music is so often weighed down by."
Ital's EP's include "Ital's Theme," "Only For Tonight" and "Culture Clubs."
Daniel also appears at Unsound as Sex Worker, as part of the Not Not Fun showcase.
