An Icelandic born musician, composer and producer, Johann Johannson’s recent albums “IBM 1401” and “Fordlandia” have dramatically widened his audience with their slow-building and haunting music, ambitiously orchestrated. Johannson, though, has been releasing albums for years, on 4AD and Touch, all receiving glowing reviews. He has worked with a diverse range of artists, including Marc Almond, Barry Adamson, Pan Sonic, The Hafler Trio and Jaki Liebezeit. His other projects include the Apparat Organ Quartet. Johannson will perform at Unsound with the 30-piece Sinfonietta Cracovia, in an event that is sure to be one of the most talked about of the year.
