Margaret Chardiet is known for her intense live performances, described as both confrontational and personal, thrilling and discomforting. Her LP “Abandon” was released last year through Sacred Bones, garnering acclaim from both the indie and electronic music press for the “pulverized atmosphere” made up of doom chords, serrated tones and industrial rhythms, all built around her harrowing, multi-octave voice. She will release a new album called “Bestial Burden” in October, at the same time she tours in support of Swans.
