UNSOUND PODCAST UNSOUND PODCAST #11 - Spatial Live at Freerotation

http://soundcloud.com/unsound/up-11-spatial-live-at-freerotation

We're tickled pink that Spatial will be appearing at Unsound Festival at Bass Mutations, as part of a line up in one of two rooms co-presented with New York label "The Index".
With three EP's on Infrasonics, Spatial's productions explore the world of post garage and dub techno via a carefully selected array of sonic tools. They display a meticulous attention to detail and a strong tendency towards experimentation.
To celebrate his Unsound appearance, Spatial has given us a recent recording of a set he played at the UK festival Freerotation. The set contains dubplates and upcoming releases from all sorts of corners of the UK's rapidly evolving club scene.
Appearing at the end of the mix is a treat from Spatial's own forthcoming 10", out very soon on Infransonics. Called infra004, click HERE for track samples.

UNSOUND PODCAST #10 - Kreng presents Main Titles

http://soundcloud.com/unsound/up-10-kreng-presents-main-titles

The wonderful Miasmah artist Kreng was asked by Unsound to make a podcast tying into our 2010 "Horror - the pleasure of fear and unease" theme. He created a unique mix, with music taken from a wide array of horror and sci fi soundtracks, described here in his own words: "This turned out to be a vicious slow burner, calm and slow in the beginning but gradually evolving into a hideous monster." Please note that this is not representative of what Kreng will do with the Belgian theatre group Abattoir Fermé at Unsound Krakow, with whom he will perform - will be some interesting surprises there, for sure.

Listen to this podcast in the dark, alone, with a full bucket of popcorn.

UNSOUND PODCAST #09 - Pavel Ambiont's Belarus on the Air

http://soundcloud.com/unsound/up-09-pavel-ambionts-belarus-on-the-air

Here's a unique mix by the Belarus producer Pavel Ambiont, who performed at the last Unsound Krakow and Unsound Festival New York. Pavel is also known for his work with Pinch, included on the "Connections" CD. Asked to deliver an podcast, Pavel selflessly decided instead to showcase a range of Belarus producers, not only himself, in order to throw a light on this overlooked region of Eastern Europe. As the mix shows, the local electronic music scene is developing steadily, with the likes of i/dex, Parametric, Santych and Pavel himself moving here fluidly between dub techno, ambient pieces and much more. Enjoy! And please head to soundcloud for a full track listing.

UNSOUND PODCAST #08 - Ikonika at Unsound 2009

http://soundcloud.com/unsound/up-08-ikonika-at-unsound-2009

Here's a special treat: a 2-hour Podcast of Ikonika's dynamic set from Krakow's 2009 Unsound Festival. Ikonika's album "Contact, Love, Want, Have" was recently released on Hyperdub, whose sophisticated tracks contain a mix of styles, synths, bass and blips, cementing her reputation as a major voice in UK club music, resisting easy categorization. Recorded during Unsound's "Bass Mutations" night, this podcast also shows what a great DJ she is.

UNSOUND PODCAST #07 - Untold at Unsound 2009

http://soundcloud.com/unsound/up-07-untold-at-unsound-2009

Lots of recordings were made at Unsound Festival in Krakow in October 2009, but this is the first to be released: a cracking DJ set from Untold. Releasing on Hessle Audio, Hotflush and his own Hemlock label, Untold was one of the big dubstep discoveries last year. The set also celebrates Untold's inclusion in the lineup of Unsound Festival New York, taking place between 4.02 and 14.02 of Feb. Catch him at the Bunker in Williamsburg on 13.02, as part of a massive Bass Mutations night.
