From Canada, Mark Templeton released Standing on a Hummingbird on New York’s Anticipate label, which also puts of CD’s by Morgan Packard and Klimek. With a background in bluegrass, Templeton creates his opulent soundscapes by using a laptop to process and treat acoustic instruments such as guitar, banjo and accordion. As Boomkat wrote of his Anticipate LP: “a first release that’s as breathtaking and important as any album of its ilk we’ve heard in recent years, making this a true classic in the making for all lovers of fragile music that pulls at the heartstrings while challenging accepted musical conventions.”
